Removing Chemicals from the Home

Hello! I have recently been concerned with removing harmful chemicals from our home in an attempt to be healthier.

I stopped using Glade plugins, but I miss them. I know you can use essential oils to help your house smell nice, but how do I do that?

Also, where else have you cut chemicals? Laundry detergents/fabric softeners? Cleaners, etc? What products do you enjoy that are natural.

We love soapnuts for laundry!  They are actually berries that contain natural saponins.  Econuts is the brand we use, and they work really well.  I like that there is no plastic packaging.

Vinegar, baking soda, and natural soap are all you need for cleaning.  Vinegar and water with a couple drops of tea tree oil makes a good multi purpose cleaner.  Baking soda works well as a scrub.
