What are you excited about in your life today or coming up soon? The school year is coming to an end and that means graduation and saying goodbye to 75 students I have grown very attached to. I am doing my best to fill myself with positive thoughts.

We just finished saving cash for a new(to us) car! That means good bye
2007 Focus and hello 2012 Focus! We will be buying on May 29th and I am
itching to get something safer for us and our possible future family.

Memorial Day weekend. I'm so ready for three days off. H and I are taking a mini trip to get away and I'm so excited! Work has been crazy busy, so an extra day away is so, so needed.

DH and I are in the process of starting to look for a newer vehicle! We can't decide who should get one though. We will trade in my car or private sell it.

If H gets the newer vehicle, then I would get his current vehicle, which I love. If I get something newer, then H will keep his current vehicle. Neither one really cares who gets the newer vehicle though!

Our long weekend in Canada is this coming weekend.  The inlaws are coming. MIL and I are going to an annual shoe sale about 45 minutes from the city.  All shoes are $29.99, and they're a good quality brand.  We'll also BBQ and get some planting done on Monday.

I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend as well, but for a different reason: I'm defending my thesis on the 22nd, so I'll be *basically* all done with my Ph.D. come Memorial Day! Yay!

H and I decided to forgo our planned trip to Dominican Republic for a friend's wedding this summer. It would just be a really poor financial decision for us right now. ( Instead, we've compromised that I'll be able to go on vacation to NYC/Long Island to visit family in October. Can't wait, but sad that H probably won't be able to join me. 

Also, looking forward to hanging out poolside as much as possible this summer!

SO jealous! We have a lake and dock that is only a 10-15 minute hike away but nothing beats a pool.

Spending time with my grandparents in CA (because, let's face it, I'm not sure how much longer they'll be around). I'll be in Santa Monica/LA in July.

School being over so that I am only at one job for the summer... also the kids at school are getting really sassy.  There will be a lot of 5th graders I'll miss though!

This summer DH and I will possibly be getting a second cat (a kitten due to DH's request... that part I'm not so thrilled about, I'd rather get an older cat.)

TTC:  Still in discussion with DH but possibly starting at the RE.  There is an RE in a city over two hours away from us who my insurance would probably cover more from, but I doubt DH would want to travel that far away and I hate driving on the highway.  So, more than likely starting local and going from there.
