Does anyone even get on here?

Seems like all the discussions on here are old, or maybe they are just confusing.

Anyone out there?

Re: Does anyone even get on here?

  • I always check but don't really start any conversations
  • Everyone that was really active has moved over to GBCN on ProBoards. It is extremely active: http://pandce.proboards.com/board/27/married-life

  • I regularly check and chime in if I feel I have something to add.  I wasn't here before the "exodus" I've heard about that @PnkBride is referring to.

One problem also is, for some reason, many of the boards on here are having people...usually scammer sales people...resurrecting really old threads so they can throw in their links for whatever they are selling.

The Money Matters board is the most active one on this site.  And, while budgeting and money are the main topics of discussion, you'll see a lot of other discussions also.  There are a number of regulars on that board, myself included.

  • Yeah the Exodus happened a few years ago. The ProBoards peeps come back usually once political season heats up and debates get going. LOL.
  • Why did everyone leave?

The Nest made some formatting changes to the board which was screwy for some time.  Tons of people jumped ship and went over to Proboards

More like: The Nest tried to make a formatting change, but it rendered all the boards useless for most of a week. People moved over to the unused Pampers board on The Bump to wait until things were fixed here. Then the Bump staff made a big fuss about how they were spoiling the environment for "the regular Pampers posters" (that never existed) and angered enough people that the mass exodus happened. All of the boards relocated - not just the ones from the Pampers debacle. And eventually XO realized the mistake and sacked the entire social media staff, but it was already too late.

  • I actually went over to the ProBoards...figuring it would be similar to the experience over here on TN...but I didn't really care for it.  Yeah, they have more posters and topics going on, but it was more like a lot of people having private conversations with each other/small groups.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it wasn't interesting for me.  I mean, there is a little bit of that here, but it at least usually starts of with someone posting a question/topic on one of the appropriate boards.

I felt the same way. I tried ProBoards for about a week and didn't like it.
  • Thank you for putting up this question in the post because I see a lot of old responses as well.  And I wasn't sure if it was just me or not.
  • no.  this post is a figment of your imagination.
