Dog teeth cleaning

DH says the vet is recommending our dog get its teeth cleaned.  I don't know the price but offhand I know it is typically a few hundred.  Does anyone have teeth cleaning pricing I can compare to the quote we get from our vet?  Our dog is 8 and weights 21lbs.

Sounds about right, they put them under general anesthesia so that is a lot of the cost. We only had a quote for our American Bulldog (110 lb) and it was about $600. And our vet is really reasonable, so I didn't find it out of line.

I know the @Meghan&Rich has had her smaller dogs teeth cleaned, she might be able to give you an idea.

We've had to do this a couple of times (we have mini schnauzers that are slightly smaller but comparable in size to yours). $250-$300 is what I'm remembering for one dog (we had to do both at one time). That included anesthesia, the cleaning, any extractions that had to be done during the cleaning and antibiotics after.

Our dogs are about the same size, and I'd say anywhere between $200-300 sounds right!
