What do you think of the Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair cover?

Doesn't even look like him.  She's beautiful and I'm hoping she finds peace and happiness.

Omg I had no idea that's who that was! I kept seeing this in my news feed and just didn't understand why it was such a big deal. Lol.
Good for her. There really should be more positive publicity for Transgender people. This is great!

I say good for her, too! I never would have guessed that was her. I think it's a great message about the TG community.

We talked about it at lunch today, then I saw it on my Facebook feed and had no idea who it was.  I thought it was a child of his who just came out of the woodwork.  I can be a space cadet sometimes.

I think she looks beautiful.  The cover is very tasteful and they did a wonderful job.  I never would have thought that was Bruce Jenner.

My husband and I had a lengthy convo about this just before I logged on.  All I will say here is that Jenner doesn't look like a 65 year old.

In all seriousness, I think she looks spectacular. What a great way to kick off pride week. Good for her.

I think that she looks amazing.  I was surprised that she made her reveal so soon.  For some reason I thought it wasn't going to be for about a year or so.

I also talked about it at work yesterday and I just kept saying that I wished I could wear something like that and that I loved her hair.

She looks amazing and I'm glad the public response has been so positive. I just hope her visibility is used to promote education and acceptance for all trans people instead of just being a spectacle. And I've seen a lot of concern among my acquaintances in the trans community that Caitlyn's transition story makes it look entirely too simple: you come out, you get the surgery, you're done! But transition is a lot more complicated than just before and after, and people live out their lives in all stages of it. The less someone is able to 'pass' as their identified gender, the more difficult and dangerous the world can be for them. And there are a lot of barriers to surgery and other components of transition - largely financial ones - such that someone without Caitlyn Jenner's means might not ever be able to achieve a transition like hers.

I hope that she finds peace in her new life. I can't imagine living a lie for all of those years and being so close to committing suicide. I hope that this brings more acceptance of transgender individuals. Some of the comments that I've seen on Facebook by family members have been so disgusting and closed minded. I can't imaging living with that stigma every day....it needs to change!

I think she looks great and I'm glad that she seems happy!
Unfortunately because I live in a close minded town, I've heard tons of negative comments the last two days about the news and at work.
