Calorie tracker check-in

I've been avoiding this post because I'm annoyed. I've been within 100 calories of my goal for all but one day for nearly two weeks, and the scale hasn't budged. So FRUSTRATED!

I have been eating mindfully, and have eaten a minimum of sugary treats and nothing.

So I haven't written this post because I am annoyed and want to quit caring. But I know if I do I will get bigger and my clothes really won't fit. Sigh.

  • Don't give up!! I had a frustrating week last week too. I was at Kenny Chesney on Saturday and drank and ate like crazy. The scale definitely reflected that on Monday (up 2lbs) but I got back on track and seem to be down again. I have yet to give in to national donut day, so I call that a win.

  • I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to survive the cookie table at the wedding on Saturday!

    Last night at the potluck I went over my calories, but didn't go crazy, and I was up half a pound this morning from the weight I've been holding steady at for nearly two weeks. Ugh!

    It doesn't help that I haven't had time for a lunchtime or evening walk all week.

    Sorry for being whiny, but thanks for the encouragement.

  • I told myself I was starting hard core on monday June 1. Then this stomach bug that hit just about everyone I knew hit me sunday. Not so bad that I couldn't function but enough that I didn't want to eat salad etc. Ha. Excuses. Making a grocery list for a good week to come. :)
  • I had a good week, but we leave for vacation next Saturday, so that's always a good motivator.  

    It's really hard to stick with it when the scale doesn't budge.  But I will say that I was on a plateau at WW for months.  And as much as I wanted to give up, I did stick with it and I'm back to losing again.  I think sticking to it when you aren't losing is so hard, but it does pay off.  Also, you could have lost inches, instead of weight as well.  I would try to think of that, and think of how my clothes are fitting instead of completely focusing on the scale.  That helps, too.

    I am with Amber on going by the way my clothes fit vs. the scale. That being said, I don't own a scale so its easy to do this.  :))

  • Thanks, ladies! I am SO glad I posted. You are right. The jeans I'm wearing today do feel better than the last time I wore them. So even if the scale isn't budging, something must be happening. :-)

    That will help prevent me from decimating the cookie table tomorrow night!
