21 day fix

@mpjf1001 do I remember you were doing this?  Anyone else?

I decided to try it, just ordered.  Starting Monday and I'm pretty excited.

Re: 21 day fix

  • I'm into my second cycle right now. Lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks. Pretty pleased with that! I got the kit from Amazon without Shakeology to save money, so no idea if that stuff is any good or not.

  • Awesome results!!!  Did you do the work outs every day?  I'm hoping to do 2-3 a week and keep up walking (been walking 2.5 miles at lunch). Any suggestions with the containers?  I'm kind of overwhelmed with the amount of food.

I'm in a fit group on FB and they swear by shakeology (it's not all beach body people).  I figure I'll try it since it was a bit cheaper with the program then if I went back to try it.

  • Love it! Def plan out your meals, start with dinner and plan around that. If your on Pinterest I have a 21 day fix board! I did a challenge last month and lost 6lbs the first round. I'm continuing to do the meal plan while pregnant and will add a container here or there if I'm really hungry and then as the pregnancy progresses. I did workout everyday with the challenge, now I aim for at least 4-5x a week including training still with modifications. I've used shakeology before and while convenient it's not necessary, I didn't use it for the challenge because I was concerned it was affecting TTC so I stopped. Let me know if you have any questions! I am a part of a FB group and people post their meals, tips, etc. it's a closed group but I can add you.

  • @mpjf1001 - That's awesome you're still following this while pregnant.  Thanks for adding me to the group!  My coach added me to a FB challenge group for 1st round-ers.  I'm excited to have others that are new to it too.  They also did a calendar for suggested work outs, etc.  I'm really excited.  My kit just SHIPPED too!

I really like the idea of planning dinner first then the other meals.  That's the only one that's affected by other people (H, and parents)  I figure the first few weeks will be a learning curve.  I'll have to check out your 21DF board on pinterest!  So, sorry ahead of time if there's a million "Amanda has repined you pin" notifications.

  • @mana8503 - I am doing the workouts daily. Sometimes I add a walk or a run to that, particularly if it's a day where a lighter workout is scheduled, like the yoga or the pilates. The plan is designed to include a workout every day, so I don't know how much messing with that would impact your results. The workouts are conveniently short - 30 minutes a pop - but they pack a lot into that time. The container thing is a pain at first, but it becomes super easy once you get the hang of it. I don't even have to think about it anymore. But try to find a good meal plan on Pinterest for your first go - round with the plan so you don't get discouraged.

  • @pockysquirrel - I'm going to try to do the work outs daily, but I'll be happy with 2-3 times a week with my walking.  I work 9.5 hour days, and commute an hour both ways, add baby time and getting ready for the next day - I don't have much time.  I figure I could sneak in a work out a couple days a week after she goes to bed, and then weekends.  I have a ton to lose so I think even with the diet I should be able to get results in the beginning.
