AW: Back from vacation!
We got back on Monday from our annual anniversary vacation. This year we went on a road trip through Colorado, Arizona, California, and Utah. We had an amazing time! We traveled with our two dogs in the backseat.
We saw games at two MLB ballparks (Chase Field and Petco Park) so we can cross them off our list! We also visited two national parks (Mesa Verde and Joshua Tree). We didn't visit any new states.
MM-wise, there were some good and bad highlights:
Good--I budgeted $2,000 for this trip (not counting baseball tickets because we bought those in advance) and we only spent around $1800! We were able to save some money on food because we spent a few days with H's family and ate at their home.
Bad--We got rear-ended in Denver by an uninsured driver. My insurance is covering the damage to my car but I have to pay the $250 deductible. We also got two rock chips in the windshield, so I paid $70 to get those repaired yesterday.
Technically, those things put us over budget, but we saved a few hundred dollars by taking my car instead of H's truck, which is what we usually take. So I guess we still saved money and had a good time

Glad to hear you had a good time, overall! It sounds like an amazing trip. I love road trips where there is a lot to stop and see.
What a bummer about the accident though.
