What are you doing for Fathers Day?

Dinner with my family.  I just got Jeff and dad cards.  Jeff is getting a new CB for his truck, and I just got my dad a gift card.

Nothing big planned. I will give H his gift and cards from J and I  and then spend the day together like we normally would. 

Maybe I should take him out to breakfast...

I will call my dad. We will be seeing them a week later.

My cousin's wedding (that I'm a bridesmaid in) is tomorrow, so we haven't made plans because everyone will probably be worn out.  We might end up getting takeout or something else low key.  I'll probably get him a fancy beer or clothes or a book.

My cousins quinceanera is tomorrow so everyone will be at that. My family normally celebrates holidays that fall on Sundays on the Saturday before instead, so nothing has been planned. We'll probably just go to lunch or dinner.

H and FIL have back to back soccer games and then a pig roast. H is going to pick up my dad and take him with him (his brother plays with my FIL). Ill probably go to my moms and hang out by the pool....

Well I sent my dad a card. Mom said he's been asking for some PJ bottoms, so I'll probably find some online and have them shipped to my parents house. We got H's dad a card and will take him out to lunch on Sunday.

I think we're getting H's dad a gift card for Lowes or Home Depot.

H actually came up with the idea for the gift for my dad.

When I was growing up, my mom was working a lot of weird shifts; therefore, my dad would be watching me. Every once in a while, my dad would take me up to a Long John Silver's that was about ten minutes away from our house to go out for lunch/dinner. It became a weird sort of tradition. Even when I was in college working, we'd have our father/daughter days and go get food there. (It was very convenient that both retail stores I worked at were within minutes driving distance of an LJS)

H thought it would be a good idea to go pick my dad up, basically not tell him where we're going, and take him out for lunch at LJS. It's something small,  but it would definitely have a ton of meaning behind it.

@consciousdear88 I love that idea!  Your father is going to love it!

We're going to H's parents' house for a BBQ, then hopefully stopping by my parents' house.  H's parents is always a big celebration.  We take care of Father's Day, my birthday, H's grandparents' anniversary and H's aunt and uncle's anniversary.

Today D 's family planned a surprise trip to a distillery for his dad and uncles and they are there now. I was supposed to work this morning, but am off sick, so I couldn't go on the trip anyway. We had planned a bbq at our place for my dad for tmrw but i will have to see how I am feeling.
