Bernie Sanders!

Re: Bernie Sanders!

  • He's not my top pick for the nomination, but I certainly respect the man.

  • I wouldn't rule him out.  I honestly haven't read enough about his views, but it would be ironic if he got the democratic nomination instead of Hilary.

I consider Hillary to be a Republican wearing blue. She's only become progressive recently as a response to pressure from Bernie and Elizabeth Warren. Bernie is catching her in the polls and I think she's legitimately concerned she'll lose the primaries.

If you take the time to read his policies and legislation, you'll be impressed. He's exactly what our country needs right now, someone who is looking out for the betterment of the poor and middle class. Someone who is against shipping our jobs overseas, and for ensuring our education is fully funded and infrastructure is invested in.

He voted against TPP and the repeal of the estate tax that Republicans pushed for. He also submitted a bill to make college education free for all, fully funded by a tax on hedge funds. He's also called for legislation to close the tax loopholes that allow large corporations to not only not pay taxes, but also receive refunds. He supports small businesses and women's rights.

There's a great article on what he accomplished as mayor of Burlington. It provides some great insight on how he views the future of our country.

Hilary republican?  That's one I've never heard, but I new Bernie was more liberal than her.  DH told me a few weeks ago that he wasn't behind hilary that much according to the polls.  It would be interesting if he was the democratic nominee.

If Bernie Sanders wins the nomination, there is no way the Dems will win the White House. He is pretty much a socialist. And that will never fly with the moderates.
  • Ben  Carson for the win for me :)
