I got SO lucky with this job...it's like a dream! It totally makes up for the miserable job that I quit in March!
Everyone is so nice! My job is basically to keep up with the news (especially votes in Congress) on anything that's related to science and especially issues that my organization is actively involved in.
Next week, I'm going to the WHITE HOUSE!!!! Well, not the White House residence, but the White House office buildings (not the West Wing, but the offices right next to it). I'm going for a meeting about the Precision Medicine Initiative. When my boss told me about it I was like OMG, THIS IS SO COOL!
Good things do come to those who wait
