Eric Davy is a funerary glassblower who specializes in making custom glass funeral urns and memory glass sculpture. Memory glass is made from cremated human remains. Here's Eric at work in the Living Arts Center in Mississauga making a funeral urn.

In these pictures Eric rolling the hot glass bubble on coloured glass powder to make the base colours; the bottom is red and the top is blue.

He does this before blowing and shaping the urn in the glory hole, at the marver and at the bench.

This is what a finished funeral urn looks like - price is $1000

The funeral urn can be further customized in shape, size, colour and closures.

I reviewed Eric's custom funerary glassblowing businss on Smart Canucks with lots of original pictures.

More info about Eric Davy and maestro Angelo Rossi the glassblower at the base of Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls. There are cremated human remains in the robe of 'The Angel'.  Price is $500

Angelo Rossis also makes custom  glass funeral urns and is featured in article, how cheaper cremation costs increase funerary art glass production in Canada..
