I got my Kindle back!
I'm a week late posting this, because I've been crazy busy, but I got my Kindle back!!!
After it wasn't at the local airport, I contacted Copenhagen and Aalborg, but neither of them had it either. I pretty much just gave up and figured I'd order a new one when I go to the US next week. So I finally got around to placing the order, but before I did, I went and checked the online lost-and-found database for the airport, and it listed two Kindles reported found on the day I lost mine, and a third the day after! So I sent them an email asking if one of them might be mine, and they asked for some information to identify it.
One of the things was which books were on it. I told them there were probably around 200 titles and rattled off a list of about 20 and mentioned the two that were most likely to be open at the time I lost it. (I also sent them a link to my Goodreads shelf saying most of those would probably be there too!) They replied that they had it, and I could come pick it up with a reference number and pay the $10 administration fee.
Luckily I work near the airport, so after work last week I hopped a train out to the airport and picked it up!
I really have no idea why it took more than a week to get from the plane to the Lost and Found office, but I'm glad I didn't give up!
