Ying and yang necklace for a friend? Need some opinions

Okay so my 4th grader got a necklace for her buddy on vacation.  She paid for it with her own money.  I was distracted and was like whatever.  We get home and I realize it is ying and yang.  So does ying and yang only mean love?

I'm thinking of just taking her to the mall and paying for something else she can give to her friend as I don't know what the other kids parents would thing.  People are so crazy.  Thoughts?

  • I think you are fine letting her give it to her. You are overthinking this.

  • I think you're overthinking it as well.  I think I had ying/yang necklaces with my BF at that age...and never thought twice about it.

I also don't think ying yang only represents love.  I think it just signifies how two opposite things can compliment each other.  Like salt and pepper. Peanut butter and jelly.  Ketchup and mustard.
