Texas Girls Trip

My college roommates and I are planning a girls trip for next July.  Since half of us are on the East Coast and half are on the West Coast, we decided to meet in Texas.  Ideally we would like to be on the water.  We are in our late 30's so not looking for a wild club scene.  More looking for a nice beach, some good restaurants, maybe a bar or two.  What are some good destination spots?  Galveston? Corpus Christi?  Thanks!

Re: Texas Girls Trip

  • I've been to Galveston many years ago and recall it as not very pretty or clean. Have you thought about Gulf Shores, LA? I've heard lots of rave reviews about their beaches and other to-dos.

  • Galveston is just meh. The town is better than the beach, for sure. The gulf will not compare to the east or west coats! I'd recommend going to San Antonio though! There is so much to do on the Riverwalk and it'd be a great girls' trip destination, IMO

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

  • I done the girls trip thing to San Antonio and Austin. In the summer they will be hot though. Austin has barton springs to cool off. New Braunfels (between the two) has tubing and a water park. Agree with pp Galveston beach is meh (but I am a Florida Gulf coast girl - so high beach standards)
