Meal Train for New Parents
Hello!
I'm part of a meal train for some friends who had their baby last week. Yay!
I'm looking for some ideas of what to make and bring over. I know casseroles and other dishes that freeze well are good ideas because they can put away leftovers for later.
Here are the things that have already been 'claimed' by other people in the meal train:
- lasagna
- baked ziti
- chicken enchiladas
- salmon salad
- pizza delivery
- chili verde
- rotisserie chicken and macaroni and cheese
- ravioli with salad
- sausage and peppers with french rolls
I would love any ideas (recipes too!) for casseroles or other dishes you think would be a good meal train meal.
Thanks!

Re: Meal Train for New Parents
One of things I usually make for new parents is Shredded Chicken Tacos! Its simple for everyone involved! Its a crockpot dish!
4 chicken breasts
packet of taco seasoning
1 can corn, with juices
1 can diced tomatoes with juices
1 can black beans with juices.
Put everything into the crockpot and cook on low 8 hours. Shred chicken. This can be served like actual tacos with all the fixings or served over rice. This freezes super well and makes ALOT!
