FB privacy

I can't find this online so I am hoping someone can help.

I got E's NB photos done. I made them my profile picture and my cover photo. I wanted to post more but I didn't want MIL to have copies of them because she is going around showing random strangers that she doesn't know pictures of the baby. I am weirded out by that.  Anyways...she shared my photo on her page and now her friends are all commenting on it.  How can I block her from sharing anything I post or make it so she has to ask permission?

She shared that we had E before we did as well, so this isn't the first time we have this drama.  I don't want to just outright block her because I don't want J to be mad, but I will if I have to.  If I am being irrational, you can tell me, but my MIL is crazy.

Re: FB privacy

  • Honestly, the best thing to do long term is to just deal with it.  Even if you blocked her, somebody will always get her pictures, news, etc. and even if you block her from sharing, if she can see it, she can download it and repost it.  Or hubby will text her a pic and she'll upload that, etc....

  • You are such a man Mark.  I read your response and it sounds just like something J would say. :P
  • Sorry, just being practical...:(

  • Its ok Mark. You are practical and that is why we keep you around here. ;)

I am just not ready to let my emotional side go when it comes to her. She causes all this drama and still is.  Is it dumb?  Yep.  Do I care?  Nope.
  • Well, good to know I'm useful for something. :P

  • I see both sides. And Mark is right. If you lock it down so she can't share, she can just download the photos and upload them to her page. Maybe talk to her or have J talk to her about not sharing everything??
