I am eligible for an upgrade today. I don't know which iPhone to choose, the iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S, so I am running to NBC for help. I am leaning towards the 5S, because it is about $150.00 cheaper and I like that it is smaller. For reference, I have an old 4S now. Do any of you have either of these phones? Would you recommend it?

I have the 6 and I like it a lot.  DH has the 5S.  He likes it, but it's been having serious battery issues for a long time.  Has to charge it sometimes multiple times a day.  He's waiting to upgrade, which should be any day now.  I don't know if it's because of the model or just a singular case.

I went from a 4S to the 6 and it was a huge difference, and not just in physical size.  It's so much faster.  I do think it's faster than DH's 5S, but it's not jarring.

Thank you! I have seen several reviews that complain of the 5S battery life. Do you have the 16GB iphone 6 or something higher?

I have the 64G and it was SO worth the extra money.  I don't have to worry about deleting photographs or videos every few weeks.  I have (what seems like) unlimited audiobooks downloaded with no issues.  I don't think I can be convinced to go back to the 16GB option.  IIRC, they don't have a 32G any more.

I would go with the 6. I still have the 4s and I can't wait to upgrade. I too don't like the size of the 6, but the 5 is older too and you will have problems with it

You'll get used to the size quickly. It's still slim and if you don't get the Plus, it fits easily in a pocket. I went from the 4s to the 6 and never looked back.

I may be bias because I can't wait to upgrade and I am not eligible till next year.

I have a 5s and I like it fine, but if I were you I would totally get a 6.  As Apple makes new things, they don't bother with the old ones anymore, so while a 5s may be great at first, it's an old thing as far as Apple is concerned, so it will get draggy and all of that.

They didn't announce a new phone at the conference thing the other day?  I knew it was happening, but I haven't heard what they announced.

I have a 32GB 6+ and I love it more than life itself. It's large so if you're looking for something smaller I'd go with the 6. I don't think I can ever go back to any other phone.

I still prefer my 5s because I like to take it when I walk and those stupid armband things don't like me so I end up carrying my phone in my hand and the 5s is just the perfect size.  It is the same exact width as my Ipod classic and I can carry them both back to back in one hand.  I will be sad when I have to get a new phone and it is bigger than my ipod because it will be hard to carry on my walks.....insert sad face here.

I would get the 6 but I'd hold off for a few more months because the 6s will come out and drop the price of the 6, more than likely. I love my 6! it's super fast.

I just checked and the 6 is now $100 cheaper than it was last week, since pre-orders for the 6s plus are available now.

See I don't care what color it is since mine will ALWAYS have some sort of case on it and you can't see the color anyway.  So I just get whatever is available.

Just a note for anyone having battery issues with their iPhone 5: there was a batch of faulty batteries installed in these phones, and if yours is one of them, Apple will replace the battery for free. DH and I just had both our batteries replaced last month, and the difference is unbelievable. I can charge my phone every other day now, something I could never do before.
