Trump rally and ignorance

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/17/politics/donald-trump-obama-muslim-new-hampshire/index.html?sr=fb091715trumpmuslimquestion840pVODtopVideo

Unfortunately this was in my state, but the asshole guy was from NY so I feel better.  These are Trump fans- the most ignorant of the party who give the rest of us a bad name.  Trump had a responsibility to correct the guy and he did not.

Now here's McCain in 2008 being asked the same ignorant question and here's how he responded:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llef8ZRTWQo

1. Obama has repeatedly stated he is Christian, and that's the end of story.
2. If he was Muslim, that doesn't make him a bad person or a bad president.
3. I could make a list a mile long why I don't agree with his policies or actions and they are having nothing to do with his faith.

By God people, this is 2015, can we stop stereotyping?

Trump's problem is that he has to make himself look good at everybody else's expense.

This isn't about Trump wanting to make the USA better. It's about Trump being bored as a business man and needing another notch in his belt - gotta tick POTUS off the Trump Bucket list.

What he doesn't understand is that most people see through his insincerity and fakeness.

We shouldn't be surprised that Trump won't correct people when it comes to his "enemies." I found a 38 minute speech he did at Liberty University (of all places) in the fall of 2012. Aside from mispronouncing Jerry Falwell's name (he called him "Farwell,") Trump ended the speech with giving the audience of mostly young college-age kids 2 pieces of world-class Trump advice.

#1. When someone wrongs you - GET EVEN! Then he proceeded to churn up the crowd about how he loves to get even.

    #2. Get a pre-nuputial agreement.

Now, #2 aside, focusing on #1....this man is reckless and he is ruthless. We all saw that sophomoric interchange between him and Paul last night. Trump started it and continued it. Trump dislikes Obama and he lakes the class to correct an off-track campaign supporter at the rally.

How do I know this? He believes in, quote, "Getting even!"

Never mind the fact this was at a Christian university and he spent the first half of the speech espousing his faith in God and loving to go to Sunday school when he was a kid. "Getting even" doesn't "mesh" with the "love thy neighbor AND thy enemy" teachings of Christian scripture.

  • Though I have strongly mentioned in other posts my supreme dislike for my governor and presidential hopeful Bobby Jindal...I couldn't help but appreciate a comment he made about Trump and Trump's Christianity.  He said something to the effect of, "I know Trump hasn't read the Bible.  Because he's not in it."

I cannot stand the type of person like the guy in that crowd asking Trump when our country will get rid of Muslims.  Those are the kind of people who wrapped themselves in the flag and scream from the mountain tops about how we are the land of the free.  But then seem to confuse the Bill of Rights and think "Freedom of Religion" = Freedom of Religion (but only if you are Christian).
