4 months away from the first primary- who are your top choices?

Dems and Reps- who are your top choices (or choice if you have decided) at this point in the game?

I usually don't make up my mind until a few weeks before the primary.  Right now my top tier are Rubio and Fiorina.  My second tier is Christy (I keep surprisingly liking him) with Carson probably behind that.  That is completely subject to change.  I like different parts of each candidate.  I wish I could combine them into one super human lol.

I like everyone you like. I also really like John Kasich and Lindsay Graham. I'm not too sure about Trump anymore.
  • Its still too far out for me to decide.  I will continue to watch debates.  I think the DEM debate is sometime this week?

That's the good thing about computers. They can always be found on youtube :)
  • Luckily it's tonight in-between post season ball games here so I will watch it.  I heard its on CNN and I was able to watch the last Repub debate on CNN website so hopefully we can do the same.  DH told me they just recently cut some time off how long the debate was supposed to be.  I'm still expecting Biden to come out after this debate and run.

  • Anyone know what time the debate is?  I work late- might not be able to catch most of it.

Just a little insider info about Kasich and Graham having  seen them in person.  I'm not a fan of either.

Graham cracks me up.  He's got a single minded agenda.  He walks around town halls like he's half asleep, bantering on like a crazy old man about ISIS 100% of the time, regardless of what anyone asks him.  He's got a shoe-string budget, but is being backed by McCain (don't know if that's a positive or a negative for you) who holds the record for the most amount of NH town halls before the primary.  Graham is actually on track to break that record, yet he's still polling at less than 1% in NH.  And he doesn't seem to care.  He talks like he's the only person in the room.  It's was entertaining to watch.

Kasich seems like a likable enough guy.  His is very middle of the road, which isn't necessarily a negative, it just is what it is.  He went on and on about his childhood (who cares), not leaving a whole lot of time for questions.  He had a difficult time understanding the questions asked of him and the ones he did understand, he had trouble answering.  His claim to fame is that he balanced the budget, but when asked for specifics or how his experience doing that could relate today's problems, he couldn't answer the question.  I really wondered if he had a clue how he had balanced the budget or if it was just an accident.  What I heard from him was just more of the same and another ineffectual politician.

Just my impressions.  I really want to see Rubio, but every time he's here, I'm busy.
  • I'm registered Republican but very much in the middle on a lot of issues. I love Rubio. I think he is hands down the man for the job. I might actually vote Dem if Trump wins the primary.

  • Carson, Fiorina, Rubio and Cruz are my tops. Carson is #1. But, I'm not sure on my personal rankings for the other three. I need to know more.

  • My most significant political connection just became the co-chair of Rubio's NH campaign.  In the past I've gotten to spend some one-on-one time with the people he has worked for, so I'm hoping I'll get this chance now with Rubio!  I'm dying to meet him.

Neato!  You'll have to give us the inside scoop ;).

I was just reading an article that described him as being very conservative, but he talks about his views in a more moderate way.  The writer predicted this tactic will win over the masses against some of the more extreme right of the other candidates and potentially be his ticket to the nomination.

I completely agree with that analysis.  I think he's very electable.
