When are nominees chosen? Who? Any guesses??

Does anyone know when the nominees are officially selected?

Who do you think the nominees will be?

Re: When are nominees chosen? Who? Any guesses??

  • After all the primaries, there are the conventions when all the representatives from each state go to officially vote.  The conventions are when the nominee is officially announced and they are in July.  We'll pretty much know who the nominees will be though way before.  By April, it becomes fairly obvious.

Thanks for explaining! Hopefully, a few drop out soon. I don't see Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee and a few others making it much longer.

I really think Rand is going to stick it out through NH.  He's said here that this is his "do or die state", which is completely true.  This is a very libertarian state, so if he can't make a showing here, he's out.

Everyone in the undercard needs to go NOW.
