Need help giving a deadline to my sister...
Younger sister moved in September 2015 because her boyfriend kicked her out. She's got two kids with him and they've been sort of splitting the custody for the past two months. The big problem is that she's got a job making $12.50 an hour and has to pay $250 per week for daycare so that the kids have a place to go when she's working. That's $1,000 a month. He doesn't work the 5-7 days he gets them every other week so he doesn't have to pay daycare in Illinois where he lives. He's not giving her any kind of child support on his own, and she's being an idiot and not taking him to court for it. She says they are going to come to an agreement, write it out and have it notarized by an attorney. My family and I have given up arguing with her about the court issue, but they still haven't come to any agreement. She is supposedly going to be saving up money for an apartment when she starts getting child support but no one knows when that's going to happen. I can't have her living here forever. We don't get along perfectly, we haven't since childhood. I took her in because they needed a place to stay. I told my mom I was going to give her a deadline of March 1st of 2016. That would give her 6 months total in my house (living free) to have this agreement figured out and legally signed and hopefully collecting child support and saving for an apartment. My question is is how do I communicate this to my sister? She's hotheaded and will flip out and we'll get into another fight.
