Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

I did the free gift wrapping at Barnes and Noble this weekend (seriously why don't more stores do that what a great service for charities to raise money) and I saw at least 2 people purchase Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and the book was on a special sale rack near the front of the store. Has anyone read this and/or what are your thoughts, is this good?

Re: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

  • I love this book and both sequels. Highly recommended. Peculiar in a delightful way. If you like Neil Gaiman you'll probably like this.

  • I've never read Neil Gaiman but I keep hearing the name. If anyone has a good recommendation to get started with him too I'd appreciate it. I have to say I'm so thankful for this group, my reading choices have expanded so much

  • I didn't like the first one and didn't finish the series, but they check out constantly from my library.

    I'd start with
    Stardust or Neverwhere.
