Lindsey Graham is out.

I think he quit today or yesterday.

Re: Lindsey Graham is out.

  • I liked him as a moderate. He was only really in it at this point to get a message out and that's one less person to divide the educated vote.

I read an article yesterday that this GOP race looks similar to 2012. In 2012, Republicans who were educated and had college degrees were  united with Romney and the uneducated Republicans with a HS diploma or less were divided among other candidates. Romney won because he had a united group behind him. 2016 is the same but flipped. The uneducated voters are united behind Trump and the educated voters are divided, which is why it's looking more and more like Trump will win.

  • Graham cracked me up.  I met him and he seemed a bit senile actually.  I think he is a little bit of a nut, but I agree it's one more person whose supporters won't go to a Cruz or Trump.  Thank goodness.  Unfortunately, he didn't have many supporters.

Interesting analysis.  I voted for Romney is 2008 mostly because I couldn't think of anyone I liked better.  When I voted for him again in the 2012 primary, I had met him a few times and actually really liked him.  He seemed like a rare bread of politician- one with real class and dignity- but it seemed like the American people just didn't value that.

I'm hoping when tons of people drop out after NH (and that will happen) that the "educated vote" gets united.  I hope it won't be too late by then.
  • I'm going to miss Graham. He is quick with words. He had me laughing through the debates. Most charismatic candidate by far!!! lol

shut your mouth!  LOL - it can't happen.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • ^^^Hopefully the educated group gets united after everyone drops out after New Hampshire. Still...it'll probably be split between Rubio and Cruz. :(
