@short+sassy I tried to PM you but it's being screwy. Anyway, a coworker/friend is going down to New Orleans in February, her and her husband are thinking of buying up a rental or two down there. Do you have an agent you've used down there for your purchases? She said they'd like to take a day while they're there to have someone show them the different areas, and maybe look at a few properties. They have cash.

Oh yes! I use a woman named Melissa McClendon with Delisha Boyd, LLC (this is the realty company she works for) . I had posted her contact info, but then thought better of it because I don't know if there are bots that scour the web looking for e-mails and phone numbers. If I'm just paranoid and believing an urban legend, that is very possible, lol. But I will PM that info to you. I just sent you a PM with my info and it seemed to work. But, worse case scenario, they should easily be able to find her with her name and the realty company.
Although I haven't actually gone through a purchase with her...there were no agents used for my last purchase....I have gone on a few showings with her and also had her give me info on properties I'm interested in.
What I like about her is, although I don't think she focuses on real estate investors, she understands my goals and what I am looking for. She doesn't send me listings, but then I also haven't asked her to. I look pretty actively myself and she knows that.
She is also VERY responsive. She usually gets back to me the same day when I send her an e-mail about a property I'm interested in. She is also flexible about setting up showings.
She's friendly, customer oriented, we have a good rapport, and she knows her stuff.
Your friends are also welcome to contact me. I can give them the gist of the different neighborhoods ahead of time and that might help them focus on where they want to concentrate on while they are here. I'll see if I can PM you my info, from my end.
