Thought this was helpful - chart breakdown of the GOP candidates' tax plans (just basics). What this chart fails to point out is the cost of the tax plan.

Basically, under Rubio DH and my taxes would go up 10%. Carson and Fiorina aren't listed. Neither are Kasich or Christie or a few others.

Also, I don't know if I could ever vote for Rubio. I don't like him as much. Plus, now I like him even less after those BOOTS!!!!! Ewww. I saw a comparison on FB of his boots to the boots of Austin Powers.

I don't know if not voting for someone because of their fashion sense is a good reason. lol. But I'm starting to like Rubio less. I follow him on facebook and he seems to be making these very broad sweeping statements that seem to not give much thought. I'm thinking that since he's more liberal on the immigration issue, which was hurting him after last debate, he's trying to be an extreme conservative on everything else. A lot of things he's saying now I don't agree with. He's still better than Cruz and Trump, IMHO.

No I was joking about the boots. I really do not like him, though. A few months ago, I thought I liked him, but that was a fleeting feeling. I am sticking with Carson. I trust Carson. I do not trust the others.

I really liked Carly. Looks like she might be done, however.

Out of the remaining candidates, I am considering Carson, Trump and Ted Cruz. My gut tells me I can trust those three. I like Chris Christie and Rubio but I just don't know...

There's another republican debate coming up on the 14th of this month. Wish there were less candidates. There are still way too many!!

At this point, I don't get everyone complaining there are "too many candidates".  The leaders have changed a million times in the past few months and that's due to the debates and people actually hearing what these people have to say.  If we had simply said "only the top 4 candidates" in July, we would still be stuck with the same top 4 because that's who people would have heard.  I believe the top 4 in July was Trump, Bush, Walker, and Cruz.  Don't you want to give these candidates the chance to speak to you and win you over?  That's what the debates are for.

I really wish everyone could meet Christie in person.  I feel that if it were humanly possible for him to meet every voter in America face-to-face, then he would win in a landslide.  I have never been so taken with a politician after meeting them and I've met dozens of presidential candidates.  I didn't even agree with a lot of his positions, but I completely trusted him.  He seemed so transparent and real in a way that I have never seen a politician.  He was willing to admit to his mistakes and shortcomings as a person and a governor (wouldn't it be nice to not have a president with an ego the size of a planet?) and he explained issues in a way that every person could easily understand (let's be serious, most voters don't have a clue, so this is important).  I want to not like him, because I don't think he'd have a prayer in a general election and I want to vote for an electable candidate, but it's going to be really hard for me not to vote for him.  I probably won't make up my mind until I walk into the voting booth.

My parents grew up in NYC so I am kind attracted to his no bs attitude. I can not cite examples off the top of my head, but I thought he had done some good things in NJ. And I don't think an Evangelical Christian would make a good choice for President (I know that will piss off some here but that is my opinion). Christie has never struck me as overly religious.

He's not and I like that about him too.  I love the no BS attitude, but I'm not sure it will be universally appealing throughout the country.  He inherited a shit ton of problems in NJ and has done a great job, in my opinion, of beginning to straighten out the mess.  He has a terrible approval rating though, although I don't really fault him for that.  He's a conservative trying to cut spending, so the liberals hate him, and he's had to come to a middle ground to get anything done with his Dem congress, so the conservatives hate him.  I like that he can work across the aisle.
