Just for fun- winning the lotto

Re: Just for fun- winning the lotto

  • I'm late to the game, so now it is up to $1.3B.

Honestly, my first reaction...and the one that would last at least a few days is to be totally freaked out and completely overwhelmed.  I wouldn't even know what to do.

My first visit would be to an attorney to help me figure out how to set the money up in trusts, protect myself and my assets, etc.

I'd sell the duplex I just bought, because I certainly wouldn't want to be a landlord anymore due to liability issues.

I'd probably sell my house and buy another, better one (cash, of course).  Though I would be torn because I love my house.

My H and I would never work again.  That's for sure.  We'd do a lot of traveling.  I'd buy my sis and her family a house, plus college funds for her kids.  I don't know what my mom would want, but give her whatever her heart desires.

Even with all that, I'd still just be scratching the surface.

I'd hire a live-in cook/maid/personal attendant to wait on me hand and foot.  That would be pretty awesome.
