I watched CSpan's coverage of Parliment discussing banning Trump from Great Britian. It was fascinating and depressing to watch.
Re: Parliment and Trump
As much as I dislike Trump, I will be very disappointed with Parliament if they voted to not allow him to enter the country. I always think of England as having a similar "Bill of Rights" attitude with similar freedoms that we do. And, as alienating as he is with his "hate speech" (their reason for considering banning), freedom of speech is a fundamental human right.
And oh...oh...oh...referencing back to the "natural born citizen" post and Trump badmouthing Cruz for being born in Canada. Although, Trump was born in the U.S., his mother was apparently born in Scotland (rolling eyes)!!!! I mean, geez Trump, at least both of Cruz's parents were Americans.
I'm a little kidding. I could personally care less what country a presidential candidate's parent(s) were born in because it really doesn't matter. I just find it hilarious and ironic because of the comments he made about Cruz.
Seriously, though where are the feminists regarding this issue?
Personally, I find this quite scary!
Thanks for the correction...though now it takes sting out of my Trump snark, lol.
Seriously though...on a totally unrelated note to the majority of this post...what an awesome country we live in that it can just be so "par for the course" for citizens with immigrant parent(s) to become real estate tycoons, senators...and even POTUS candidates. Though, granted, Trump hardly came from humble beginnings. Still, its such a land of opportunity.
