    1. Good! Groceries at $75, coffee on Saturday and Sunday at $10 total and lunch out on Sunday at $12. The weather was amazing, so we entertained ourselves at lot outdoors! 2. $2,300 to H's student loan. We also filed our taxes and expect to get about $1,800 back! 3. Outlook. It rules my life. Also United, Southwest, Fertility Friend and Nordstrom. ETA: How did I forget Mint? I check it at least three times a day. Addicted.

  • 1. Good. H was working and I went out to help my parents move some of their stuff into storage to get organized so they can list their house. I spent $13 on dinner the night I drove out there and $15 on beer the night I came home. My dad gave me a desk and a table that wouldn't fit in my car, so he drove them back in his truck. So we had a few when we were done moving everything. 2. Not really. We paid off our Vegas trip this weekend, so we're not carrying it on our credit card. Instead of taking it out of our travel account, we just didn't transfer anything to it this week. 3 I don't really spend a whole lot of time online since I broke up with Facebook. I look at a computer screen all day at work, so I usually read a book at night. I do look at new home listings on Zillow about once a week, though.
  • 1) Ours was kind of spendy, but all planned/budgeted.  We bought the last of the supplies needed to finish the door project we started last year, and we worked on them some more this weekend.  Just two left!  That was about $100.  We bought a rug for our family room - $200.  We also bought new laundry room doors.  We have a big gorgeous window in our teeny tiny laundry room (don't ask my why), and we wanted the light to shine through because it helps light up the living room.  But we wanted to hide the mess.  I found some sliding doors with big frosted glass panes on Wayfair.  They were spendy at $420, but we've been planning this purchase for about 6 months.  We also spent about $150 on groceries and $30 on gas.

    2)  Just working through our planned purchases and spacing them out so we can cash-flow as much as possible.

    3) Personal capital, wells fargo, fidelity, the nest.  I pretty much just do finance stuff.  Oh, and the kindle app when I need to fill some time at work during slow days.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend? It was pretty good - groceries ($190), target ($70), $ for nephew's birthday ($40), walking foot for the Bernina ($200).

    2. Any progress towards goals? No change since last week- we get paid this Friday and the Disney trip will also be paid for on Friday. We leave in 2 weeks!

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis? I use IG a lot- post pics of the girls, quilts I'm working on. Pinterest occasionally. Websites are mostly bill/$ based: our bank, fidelity, credit cards, etc.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

Good, spent $50 at Home Depot (HD).  But I actually had a $59 credit on my HD credit card, so just used some of that up.

(Borrowing from the other post)  Rant:  HD no longer gives a 5% discount when you pay for a purchase with your HD card.  I guess it's back to Lowe's!  That's what they get.

    2. Any progress towards goals?

No, non-pay week for both jobs.  Half the year they pay on opposite weeks, which I prefer.  But right now I am in the "pay on the same week" cycle of the calendar.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

I am a Pogo fanatic.  I am typically playing games at Pogo whenever I am watching tv.  The Nest is my go to worktime break/lunch site.  I also visit nola.com most days for my local news.  And Yahoo for my e-mail and world news.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

Not MM (seems to be a trend), but again it was all budgeted.
$65 for hiking shoes for me for vacation, $100 on clothes for vacation, and $75 on groceries.

    2. Any progress towards goals?

We were able to go without 1 of my paychecks this month and still come in without pulling from savings!
Set up our budget for February, and we have $400 excess.  This is after putting extra into H's Roth that we don't do every month.  So we're trying to figure out what we want to plan to do with it.  Save it for vacation,

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

Snapchat and Pinterest mostly.  Also Facebook because I'm part of a Dave Ramsey budgeting group and a breastfeeding support group.  So I frequent those often.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

Somehow not very spendy. We went out for dinner Friday night but BIL treated us as a surprise. Saturday we stayed home all day and did yard work. Sunday I spent $60 on groceries, and then we used a giftcard from Christmas to go to the movies.

    2. Any progress towards goals?

I think so. We finally re-visited our budget, took a hard look at our adjusted take-home now that we've increased our 401k withholding, and updated everything in YNAB. I'm also happy because we finally created some real line items for some big house projects we want to do so now we'll know when we have the money to spend on a new driveway versus just saying, ok, bank account looks good enough to handle it.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

TK, The Nest, Reddit, my weather app, YNAB (not a favorite but I try to track everything before I spend so I open it multiple times a day sometimes), Facebook, Instagram, Sudoku

  • Alright, I've been reading these for a few weeks now and I feel like it's time to jump in. Mostly because we were kind of bad this weekend....

    1. How MM was your weekend? $55 on various birthday gifts and $190 on take-out, Uber rides, and beer {ugh...too much on fun times, but since we only do it every few months I'm not going to let myself feel too guilty about it!}

    2. Any progress towards goals? Yup! $815 to emergency fund and $200 to sinking fund

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis? Feedly, Personal Capital, and Small World (which is actually on my husband's phone because I refuse to spend $7 on a phone game but I steal his phone every night...oops)

    1. Basically didn't leave the house. Groceries on Friday were $80. Saturday we had some friends over for a farewell dinner before they move and that was $80. Sunday we stayed home. So not unreasonable. 2. No progress. We are waiting for the payoff letter from our mortgage company (they make you request it in writing, and then mail it back to you- who does that?!?) so it's taking a bit longer than I wanted to but it will still be gone soon!! 3. The nest, farm heroes, the bump and Facebook.

    1.  Not terrible.  Friday night, I had a Living Social thing I had bought for $18 a few weeks ago for $30 off at an Italian restaurant, so we ate there.  The bill ended up being in the $85 range but H picked up the rest and the tip.  On the way home we stopped and got another bottle of wine, that was $14.  Saturday I spent around $45 at the grocery store, and then in the evening we went downtown for my company's awards banquet.  I was a bit disappointed that we only got one drink ticket each, and the drinks were expensive ($6 for a bottle of Bud Light, really?).  I ended up spending around $30 for 4 drinks (beer for him, wine for me).  $12 on parking.  Stayed home on Sunday and washed all the dog "stuff"... beds, pillows, blankets, plus 2 loads of our clothes.

    2. No, not a pay check week for me.  H got paid and is hacking away at the landscaping debt to get it paid off before the 0 interest is up.

    3. My job is pretty boring right now so... lots of websites.  I guess the ones I have up open most of the day are Facebook, the MLS, The Nest, occasionally The Knot, Pinterest.  On my phone I play Sim City Build It.
  • 1. How MM was your weekend?  Good.  $25 going out to Sunday brunch.  $4 for ingredients to bake cookies from a recipe I found on Pinterest.

    2. Any progress towards goals?  Staying the course but happy to have had a low spending January.  H has a 3 week temp job lined up started mid-Feb so that is good.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?  I just got my first smartphone!  The only app I "had" to get is NoWait.  It gets us in line for restaurants and saves on the wait time.  We can leave our house and walk/drive to some places and then only wait a few minutes when we get there.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

Eh not the greatest. $80 spent on some new work clothes. $95 on a dinner out to celebrate all of DH's family's bdays. (all budgeted). And $167 on home improvement stuff. And another $60 some random stuff for birthdays and fun and food. So yah.. no the greatest.

    2. Any progress towards goals?

No. Since there is SO much to do around our new house we aren't saving anything for the next month or two because there is a lot to buy to get stuff done.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

I just use facebook, instagram and buzzfeed the most

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

Not great.  $40 out with friends Friday night, and H spent another $40 on ingredients for a really special meal he's wanted to make for a while (porco pibil).

    2. Any progress towards goals?

    Nope.  Non-pay week.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

I really love the language app DuoLingo.  I'm using it to learn Dutch, but they have so many other languages available.  Acorns has been fun too.  I've got over $200 in there since I started using it a few months ago, all without budgeting to put that money away.  It'll be more fun once the market turns around, of course ;-)

  • 1. Our was ok. We went to the Zoo on Saturday. My dad got DD a pass for her birthday in December so it was free and someone gave us their parking pass. After we spent about $25 for lunch and dinner. Sunday we went down to fan fest for our local MLB team, but we had already bought those tickets in advance. Then we celebrated BIL's birthday, which the in-laws picked up that tab. So free dinner! We spent another $5 at the farmers market and $6 for hot chocolate at the first Starbucks.

    2. It wasn't a pay week, but I have been able to decrease my spending. I am holding onto some extra money in my small e-fund until I know for sure what my new student loan payments are going to be. If they are manageable with my paycheck this week, then I will send the extra to debt.

    3. I'm on facebook a lot, and sometimes instagram. I also use cartwheel, target, and checkout 51.Oh, and tapatalk.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?  It was so-so.  $140 groceries which was a little over-budget, because I bought some outdoor mats.  We have a huge mud problem right now from the porch construction.  $34 at Great Clips because in addition to my haircut, I purchased some product to hopefully help control my extremely dry hair/scalp (not budgeted).  Also $9 at the car wash (not budgeted).  So, I spent about $60 that wasn't budgeted, but I should be able to cash flow it.

    2. Any progress towards goals?  Nothing too exciting.  Started the process of getting H's 457 from a really old job rolled over into an IRA at Vanguard, where he has his other IRAs.

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?  I don't really use apps on my phone, but I am on my laptop a lot.  I use Facebook, Pinterest, The Nest, local news websites, MSN, CNN, and my school's website for classes.

Bolded- I know this is going to sound gross, but olive oil is awesome for a dry scalp. In the winter my scalp gets pretty bad so I will rub a little olive oil on my scalp before bed, then braid my hair. In the morning I wash it out with regular shampoo. It take a little more scrubbing than usual, but it comes out pretty easy and gets rid of dryness. Then when I find it's getting dry again I just repeat the process. For the bottom of my hair I use It's a 10 leave in conditioner. It's light enough not to weigh down my super fine hair (much cheaper on amazon than in the salon or store). Coconut oil is also great for dry hair/scalp.  So if the products you bought don't work these might help!

    1. How MM was your weekend?

Pretty good. $136 for groceries, $15 for items my son's school is collecting for kids at a local mission/shelter. $15 for beer - we had 4 friends over for a dinner party.

     2. Any progress towards goals?

Not this week. H had $525 in dental work and we have $200 in medical for our kiddo (the joys of him only getting sick last year in December and then needing a follow up visit the first week of January).

    3. When your on your phone/computer/tablet, what are you favorite apps/websites/games that you are using on a daily/weekly basis?

Pinterest, Realtor, Zillow, Fertility Friend, Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, TheNest, Facebook, Instagram, my bank, Amazon, Snapchat, Hangouts, Cartwheel, Google Maps, weather, Today app, local news app. I think that's all... Lol
