If Bush and Clinton were the only options for POTUS, who would you vote for? I have a feeling he may be chosen as the nominee.

I would vote for Jeb Bush.

Just curious to see answers   :D

Re: Bush or Clinton

  • That would be a really tough call for me. I dislike Hillary a lot. But I think GW Bush was the WORST president in modern times. I know Jeb and his brother are two different people, but I don't know if I could do it. If you had a gun to my head, it would probably be Bush.
  • Bush. Hands down. I think he's a decent, nice guy and I believe he is way more trustworthy than Hillary. In this election cycle, trust is a big issue for me.

Also, I've decided no matter what, I am going to hold my party loyalty. I believe in smaller federal government, lower taxes, pro life, and other conservative principles commonly held by Republicans. So even if the nominee isn't my favorite option, I will still vote for him versus going to the other side of the aisle.

  • It would be Bush for me.  I don't trust clinton at all - there is too much baggage between her and Bill.

Why do you think Bush would be the nominee? - he is SO far down in the polls.

  • I also don't know that Hillary will get the nomination I still think Bush has a good chance
  • Hillary
really?  I wouldn't expect you to say that.

  • Clinton, of course, but Bush would be far more preferable than Trump, Cruz and a few other Republican options.

  • I guess I wouldn't mind Bush so much, but he would win a general when hell freezes over so in my mind, it's not even a possibility.

If you would have asked me a year ago if I thought it was possible that Clinton could be the best candidate of the front runner of both sides, I would have thought you were insane.  But between Trump, Cruz, and Sanders, Clinton is by far the best option.  She may be a liar, power hungry, and underhanded, but at least she's partially grounded in reality.
  • Why is anyone considering Bush a viable option?  He came in almost last in Iowa and 4th in NH.  He's going nowhere fast.  Having money to stay in the race until the end doesn't mean you can win.

I don't think he is but I guess some do. Spent 44 million in NH. I'm guessing he's got the money for the long haul.

He does.  I wish he'd take one for the team, drop out and use his money to support someone who could beat Trump, but he won't.

All candidates have faults but Hillary did not protect our national security for convenience. OMG! Frightening!
