Vacation without the LOs to Vegas

That's right, my and DH are taking our first real vacation without the LOs and we've decided on Las Vegas! My Mom and Dad are taking the kids for a long weekend in June (the 16th-19th if it matters) so we'll have three nights and two full days to spend on the strip and a midday flight out on Sunday. Neither of us have ever been so I'm open to any and all suggestions (nothing too risque please :P). We're looking to do all of the typical "Vegas" stuff: a little gambling, nice dinners, and some dancing at night. I've always wanted to check out one of those big pool bars too!

Re: Vacation without the LOs to Vegas

  • That's so great for you guys! I think it's really important to get some time away from the LOs once in a while so you and DH can have some one on one time. Vegas is a great choice too :) I've been a few times over the years and it is always an incredible weekend for everyone involved.

Since it doesn't seem like you have any specific goals for the trip I would recommend putting together a really loose itinerary so you have options for each day. You'll almost certainly want to do more than you have time for and you want to plan in time for lounging around and relaxing by the pool! I think this list is a pretty great place to start if you've never been to the strip and want a nice breakdown of some of the more popular spots: https://www.myrsvp.com/las-vegas/news-article/the-ultimate-guide-to-vegas-nightlife
