I met the man of my dreams three years ago, we've been dating for over a year now, and living together for three months. It's been amazing, three months isn't a life time I know, but I've never been happier. I am worried I might be pregnant and that he will have to go home before his work VISA is approved. I know it will be okay if he has to go and well go back to the long distance we started with, but I'm terrified for him to leave and have to deal with being pregnant all on my own. I would love to start a family with him. I hope I am pregnant. But I am scared too. Any other international couples with advise?

Has he already applied for his visa? What is the estimated wait time on a decision? Since you don't even know if you're pregnant, I think you're jumping the gun a bit on the worrying thing.

As someone who has been in multiple serious international relationships, my advice would be:

- Get an estimate on his visa processing time.

- Wait until you know you're pregnant before you stress yourself out too much.

- Start using (better) protection until you have more long-term stability (i.e. his visa is approved). 

- Have a very candid discussion about child-rearing expectations (this a huge source of cultural differences).
