Carson supporting Trump?!  I did not see that coming.

I also watched a little bit of the debate last night.  Trump was criticizing Germany.  Because why?  Last I heard, they were doing fine with managing their economy and helping out their EU neighbors.

As a Carson supporter myself, I am especially confused by Carson's endorsement of Trump. However, I do think Carson has good judgment. I doubt Carson agrees with Trump's behavior. I know Carson would not endorse Cruz due to the Iowa antics. I also think Carson sees Rubio and Kasich as "too entrenched in D.C. as usual," and therefore would not endorse them either. Most of the prior GOP candidates have endorsed somebody.

This will be interesting to watch unfold. That is one certainty.

I vehemently disagree with just about everything Carson said or proposed, but I at least respected him until this. Shame on him.

I think trump will need help when it comes to foreign policy. I wasn't so sure about some of his answers last night.

I was so glad to hear him criticizing Germany. Women are getting attacked, one murdered and some raped my Middle Eastern and men from Northern Africa who were let in as refugees. It was in the news a few months ago.

There's been an increase of rapes in European countries that let in large groups of male refuges.

Yeah. Something like 100 attacked, some raped and one or two murdered. The link I posted talks about that story and much more. Frightening!

I just read that if Trump wins he wants Ben Carson to have an active role in his administration.

Yes. I think that is why Trump and people who want to close the border are so popular. The media will not show too much of this. I personally do not trust the vetting process.

I hear ya.  I don't trust the govt in general let alone trusting the vetting process.  I agree about closing the boarder would be a good idea before it gets too out of control.  I read an article last week that way more illegals are coming up from south america right now because they fear Trump will get the presidency and it won't be as easy for them to come up once he's in office.

I am very pro-legal immigration.  I believe that immigrants built this country and continue to insert new energy and ideas into our country.  However, I'm not sold at all on letting in refugees from countries where it is difficult to determine if these are people who are our enemies or our friends.  I'm not sure there is anyway to truly vet these people.

I'm also very anti-illegal immigration.  Illegal immigrants are a slap in the face to every legal immigrant.  I think of my husband and his family who worked for years to come here legally. I don't understand why we can't simply enforce the laws that are already on the books.  They worked before- the issue was that we stopped enforcing these laws.  They made it almost impossible for an illegal immigrant to work, therefore, they didn't want to come here.  If we enforced these labor laws, I'm not even sure we would need to create more border security or worry about deportation, although that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

It's insane.  I have a good friend who's from Germany and he's told me more about this.  The people are obviously very upset, but their government refuses to recognize the problem.  They are so desperate to not repeat mistakes of the past, that they have moved to the opposite extreme.  Mistakes of the past should't blind us to the present.  This is the direction I fear that our leadership would take if allowed.

Not 100 rapes.  There were over 100 sexual assaults, which was mostly groping, and (I think) 2 rapes.

Don't misunderstand me.  I'm definitely not saying that like "no big deal".  It was traumatic and it was frightening for all the victims, but there at least wasn't the trauma of being raped for the vast majority of the victims.
