Work Uniform help

So, silly question,

I'm starting a new hospital rotation in a couple weeks in IP Rehab. The uniform is a polo shirt and scrub pants. Do any of you have to wear this or have seen others wearing a similar uniform? Do you tuck the polo into the scrub pants???

Ugh I'm so not a fan of this uniform lol

Thanks!

Re: Work Uniform help

  • I've never worked in a medical setting where scrubs are appropriate, but that does sound odd.  My guess is the polo shirt should just be worn loose.  It would look weird (imo) otherwise, plus the top portion of scrubs are usually not worn tucked in either.
  • Many polos for women are made to be left untucked. They are shaped that way and they are shorter then mens' polos. Look up some photos online. Or, contact your HR department and just ask them.

If in doubt, tuck it in. That's a lot neater than untucked. And. if you get there and everybody is untucked, you will know and can swap it easily. Just don't show up untucked.
  • So the answer was to tuck! ;) It looks TERRIBLE, but luckily I'm halfway through this rotation. lol  Thanks ya'll!
