Darn it!  I wanted to open the first AirBnB in Cuba.  Apparently I'm way, way too late.  I just checked and there are over 300 listings, lol.

Speaking of prices not being terrible, the first listing that came up was a condo with an ocean view for only $57/night.

I sit on a few cruise forums and it's funny how many people are chomping at the bit to take a cruise to Cuba.  For me, it's just not on my travel list.

Yeah some places speak to people more than others.  I've been really interested in it for years - before it got easier to get there.  You used to have to fly to another country first to be able to go.  Now that you can just take the boat from Miami it's incredibly easy.

I'm not super interested in a handful of other caribbean countries - I don't see us going to the DR anytime soon (or ever).  I think Cuba intrigues me because it's been so close and yet so far away for Americans for decades.  Also, the pictures look cool - a lot of the architecture looks European but the cars and clothes look like they are stuck in the 50's.  For now.

It's going to be a lot less interesting as soon as you get huge resort strips taking over and it becomes the go-to spring break destination for college kids.

I'm dying to go there for both the food and culture and the diving. Nobody outside of Cuba has seen those reefs in so long! Unfortunately I've banned myself from even thinking about Carribbean travel until after I produce a child. All daydreaming is strictly limited to Northern latitudes.

Yeah, we were thinking of doing a cruise this winter but the Zika thing put those plans into a tailspin.  Terrible timing.  Sigh.

My H has always really wanted to go to Cuba.  I'm not even sure why, but I think he liked the "forbidden-ness" of it.  I personally have no desire.
