Surprise BFP!

This was unexpected. We hadn't started TTC yet, so I'm excited and freaking out at the same time. I just started at my new job two weeks ago, so I don't want to tell them about it until I'm at least past the 90 day probationary period. The logistics of making doctor's appointments is going to be interesting since my OB's office is only open during the times I have to be at work. My job also doesn't offer paid maternity leave, so we'll have to save up extra this time around too. But I'm having a baby!!!

Lol, I guess I got all of the letters wrong then!  Thanks for educating the child-free :)
  • How exciting!!  Don't worry about all that other stuff - it will fall into place.  Hope you have a healthy pregnancy and baby!
  • I forget how many months you actually only have an OB appt once a month so it won't be that obvious at your work.

Usually you will have an intake meeting with a nurse but I don't think you actually have one appointment until about 3 months.

Its been 5 years for me and I've already forgotten lol.  I remember I had my first u/s at 6 weeks and I was in a couple extra times cause I was so sick and needed to get zofran but that was with the nurse.
  • Congratulations!!

And, I apparently have a filthy mouth/mind, because I read BFP in my head as "Big F*&#&#g Positive" :-D

  • Congrats! How exciting!!
  • Congratulations! I agree, everything will fall into place. I did blood work right away (confirm pregnancy with OB) but didn't have an appointment until 8 weeks. Then every 4 weeks after that.

Thanks for all the support everyone :) I think I might be about 8 weeks along already. My period had been all over the place since it came back after I had DD2, even on birth control, so I'm not really sure. I'll have to wait until I see my OB to find out, but being my third baby, I'm already starting to get a little belly. Good thing I have plenty of flowy shirts to wear!

I have more flowy shirts than I use to so I'm hoping whenever I'm pregnant with our 2nd I won't have to buy much for awhile.
