I'm sharing on here since we all discuss this stuff as well.  But after a year of trying for our 2nd, as well as some low grade fertility drugs and the PCOS diet for the past 4 months, we finally got a positive test!  Woohoo!

It's still super early, but according to babycenter, we should be do around mid March.

This will also likely mean me coming home from my full time job and staying home with DD and #2.  It's overwhelming to think about and definitely scary when it means significantly less traveling, but I think it will be worth it.

****Update****
Well this is what I get for speaking too soon.  Had some bleeding on Thursday, and a negative test on Friday.  Went in for a blood test and my HCG level was at 1.  It needs to be at a 5 or higher for it to be considered a viable pregnancy.  Booo.

Oh well.  It was nice for the short bit of time that we thought we were having another.  Gave us some time to really work on how we're going to manage me staying home and what income avenues we need to work toward getting set up so that it's possible.

We're going to just keep going for this cycle, but we'll likely start something more aggressive if this cycle is a bust.

  • Congrats! I'm so happy for you guys!
  • Congrats! My daughter was a March baby. Doesn't feel like it's already been a year. Looks like there may be a lot of us having babies around the same time. SAH is so worth it. Yes we live a bit tighter than most and don't have as much cash flow as some but the time spent with DD is worth much more than extra cash.
  • Congrats and I wish you the best and happiest pregnancy!  It will be a MM baby explosion around here next spring!

Might be a good idea.  We've been on the fence about a second.  But not committing yet.

    Congrats on baby 2!!

Wishing you a happy and healthy pg.

March is such a great time to have a baby.  I have 2 spring babies and it was my favorite time to have a new born.  Cuddle up for a few months and then be able to be out walking.

And yeah for being a SAHM.  I have been for the last 10.5 years.  I love it.   It is hard some days, but as my uncle always tells me
The days are long but the time is short.

Ha, I want to have a baby, but not yet.  I'll have to avoid the water too (wine anyone?)

I know stores don't usually sell full bottles of wine in 6-packs, but I'll grab a 6-pack for us and @smerka!

From your previous post on this thread, I was wondering if you might hit us up for a glass or two ;).  Perhaps your transatlantic travels with LO later this year will tip things one way or the other!

True that!  That's one of the reasons we have waited so long.
