Vaughan Bassett Furniture?
Hi there,
Hubby & I are looking to furnish our master bedroom. My in-laws generously are buying it for us as a wedding gift, and gave us $6k to spend. They are adamant that we buy Vaughan Bassett, as all of their furniture is produced in the US and is made of solid wood. A furniture store near us sells their pieces, but only carries one set in-store . They showed us a Vaughan Bassett catalog, from which we picked a set we liked and got a price estimate (Queen Bed, Dresser, Mirror, two nightstands, and lingerie chest) for only $3,000. I'm surprised that real wood crafted in the US would only cost $3k for so many pieces. Has anyone here purchased their furniture and if so, can you speak to their quality? We are also considering Bassett Furniture, whose pieces seemed to be very good quality.
