After nearly three years, we did it - we made our very last payment toward a combined $85,000 in student loan debt! 

It feels crazy good to have it gone and move on to our next goal of being mortgage free by 2020.

Congrats! We have just 10 more months of day care payments and then our $82,000+ payments to them will be finished (2 kids over 6.5 years). We can't wait!

Thanks!  I'm so glad to have them gone.  We didn't pause our retirement contributions at all during the process and in fact increased them over time to be contributing the max.  So we'll have put a bow on these and also be at a net worth of $250,000 by year end (fingers crossed)!

Congrats! When we paid off my husband's student loans we opened a bottle of champagne and toasted as we hit the final submit payment!

Fantastic!  That's a lot of debt to payoff in only 3 years.  Just for fun, did you all figure out how much you'll be saving in interest over the course of the loans?  I'm sure that number would broaden your all's smiles even more!

Heck yeah!  You guys have done an awesome job!  That's a good chunk within a 3 year timeframe.

So awesome that your next goal is to be mortgage free.  The grass feels different when your home is paid for.  Just saying. ;-)  It's worth it.

Thanks everyone!  We're trying to pause, celebrate and realize how monumental this milestone really is.  And we couldn't have done it without the inspiration and good advice from my friends here.  So, thank you!!!
