@brij2006 the grass is always greener isn't it? I am fine with the occasional "ugh my kid is making me crazy" but the few people I know that always complain about them makes me wonder why they even had kids in the first place!

Luckily from my IUI we know that I responded really well to Clomid (almost too well, if my husband's counts were better they would have canceled it because the risk of multiples would have been too high and I was on the lowest dose possible). From everything I've been reading online I'm on pretty much the lowest dose possible for these drugs too. I'm hoping for at least 10 eggs so that hopefully even if the fresh transfer doesn't take I'll have enough frozen back-ups and I won't have to do the egg retrieval process again. Because it is more shots than I care to ever have to do again lol.  If I can get 10 eggs and 7 fertilized embryos I'll feel pretty good.
Good luck!  My next step in our infertility journey is a colonoscopy.  The prep for that is going to be equally comical and horrifying.
May I ask why you have to have a colonoscopy?  I've been through a battery of infertility tests and read about standard testing and I've never heard of a colonoscopy being "standard".

Feel free to not answer if it is too personal, but I found it unusual.
It's definitely not "standard," but they can only diagnose endometriosis by laproscopy or colonoscopy.  They want to make sure my symptoms are endo and not something more ominous.
are you sure it isn't a "colposcopy"? I had to have one before IVF because I have abnormal paps (to be honest I was super annoyed when they said "good news it's negative!". Ugh. I know. So were the last two. Can we just accept that my normal isn't the same as other people's normal?)
No, it's a colonoscopy.  Like they scope my GI tract.
Crazy! Learn something new every day. That definitely sounds unpleasant. Good luck!
Thanks!  It's totally TMI but one of the primary places endo manifests is the colon.  Again, pretty awkward and gross symptoms which is why I think there is way more information out there about PCOS.  It took a long time to put the pieces of the puzzle together for me.  Unfortunately though, to "fix" anything involves some pretty invasive procedures.

  • My colonoscopy advice - wear your worst underwear and sleep on towels. Or just get some Depends. That prep is so brutal

Oh boy.  Ironically, I had a sample of Depends that I got in the mail a long time ago that I was saving for post-partum use...

omg freaking hilarious.  DH had a colonoscopy a couple years ago.  I felt bad for him having to drink all that crap all day long and me eating in front of him.  You have to drink a ton of gatorade and he just couldn't drink all they said to drink.  He didn't have any issues in bed that night thank god!

I'd just like to chirp in and say my mom does colonoscopy's and endo's  at her job as a nurse LOL. Oh the stories I could tell...Back in the day for "bring your kid to work day" I got to be in a room during a procedure....omg....I had to walk out after a few minutes as I was on the verge of fainting
