What are you up to for the last weekend in April? I feel like this month really flew by!
Re: Weekend Plans
Saturday my friend is taking me to the Field Museum! I'm so excited! Last time I visited we did Millennium Park and the art museum. Then we'll hang out until her party that evening.
Sunday I'll hopefully not be recovering from a terrible hangover. We have plans to get a late brunch with another good friend from college before I fly back home later that evening. Hopefully I'll come home to find the house in a similar condition to leaving it, DH tends to get lazy when I'm gone...but we've put a lot of work into cleaning up and de-cluttering for listing so I hope not...the goal is to list the house on Tuesday. I told our agent I needed an evening at home to make sure everything was straightened up and clean.
Tonight we're babysitting our niece so that will be nice and low-key. Tomorrow we paint! We need to do all the trim on the stairs before the new carpet is installed. Thankfully my momma agreed to come help. Then we have a birthday party at night if I'm not totally dead tired.
Sunday I'm hoping to check out a service at the church down the street. I am looking for a local parish for the baby's baptism, but worst case scenario we can head down to my childhood one instead. From their website this church seems to be very active and progressive so maybe I'll like it and start going more regularly again!
Saturday- early gym class, work, then going out to my parents' to help my mom with some yard work.
Sunday- making some treats with my mom for H's surprise party. H has to study all weekend, so it's a good time for me to go to my parents' place and get some stuff done anyway.
Tomorrow: My BFF's bridal shower that's 2 hours away. So that will be most of my day. H is going to a car auction to try and pick up a car to flip, and he'll be gone from 6am-9pm.
Sunday: Church and our last Financial Peace University class. So excited for all of our graduates! This group is all age 23 and under. So we'll have lunch, cake, and the last class.
Then I want to try and get some more things accomplished. My to-do list is a bit nuts right now and I don't have the energy to do it.

Sat - get my new drivers license, drug take back event and then go to a funeral in H's hometown. Settle in for some hockey watching in the evening
Sun - No plans. Catch up on TV and enjoy some down time.
Saturday - update finances spreadsheet, clean the house, errands, grocery shop, Thai food, start laundry.
Sunday - DD#1 has a birthday party, work on DD#2's handmade birthday present, wrap her gifts, relax. My baby turns 5 this coming week- can't believe it!
Saturday: gym in the morning, DH had a military event in the afternoon, so I ran some errands (he's in the Army reserves), made and ate a delicious Skinnytaste bahn mi recipe for dinner
Sunday: groceries, running across the border to pickup a few things at Joann fabrics (we're only 45 minutes from Ogdensburg, NY), then I'm going a movie with a couple friends.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermThis weekend was the first weekend of Jazz Fest. It is a huge event that is only two blocks from my house. But I don't have a driveway or garage. I took the day off work on Friday, just so I didn't have to move my car and lose my parking place, lol.
Pretty much sequestered myself in my house all weekend. But at least that was good for MM!
My H and I opened a checking account at the Chase branch within walking distance. Really convenient. Except I didn't realize we each needed two IDs and H only had one. And it had expired a few days earlier (sigh). So I opened it and we will add him later. They at least let me deposit his checks into the account. Phew! That was the main thing.
If you all remember my post from last week, my soon-to-be previous bank got closed down by the Feds on Friday! My account switched immediately to the new bank, instead of on May12th. I didn't close my account yet, because I have a direct deposit coming in tomorrow. Which, according to the FDIC, should go through fine. But I'm closing it shortly. Glad I've already gotten a new bank! I just wish I'd done it sooner.
Also on Friday, we had a friend come by and take us out to lunch. Hung out with him for a good part of the day and into the evening.
Saturday and Sunday was lazing around. It POURED rain on Sunday. Some streets were flooded (not into houses) and Jazz Fest didn't open until 3PM. I think it usually starts at 11AM.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermMy personal home is a double and I rent out the other side. There have been two different years I was able to rent the other side out on AirBnB for Jazz Fest. I can get $400/night for that festival!
Unless the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, there is one stage I can usually hear from my porch.
