My co-worker is expecting :-)

My co-worker just announced that his wife is pregnant.  I'm so happy for him, but I have a weird jealous feeling too.  Babies everywhere.  I want one.  I made sure however that he put my name at the top of the babysitting list!

Re: My co-worker is expecting :-)

  • I understand 100%. It's a weird mix to be happy and jealous at the same time, isn't it?
  • ooooh, yes, i understand the feeling well. i feel like everyone we know had a baby this year.  although it is nice to have access to plenty of baby cuddles :)
  • All my friends are pregnant or have just had babies. They don't have the complications my partner and I do due to the fact they are in "straight relationships" and honestly none of their pregnancies aside from one has been planned.

E and I were pregnant twice in 2008, we lost both babies. Trust me I understand the "jealousy" issue, especially since we have decided to not try again for a very very very long time (2016). I am happy for my friends, its just hard.

Everything happens for a reason, right?
