Restaurants.... ugh!
You know those restaurants that everyone just *loves,* but you don't understand the appeal?
I went to one of those today. lol. I have heard so many people say that they eat there often (it's just a deli - soups, salads, sandwiches), but I just do not get it. We tried it when it first opened, and it was just ok. I went back with a friend today, and it was the most mediocre food EVER! Crazy thing is, there was a line almost the entire time we were there!
I just don't understand.

i too love me some roly poly! there is a veggie one with cornbread stuffing in it and i adore it!
that happened to us with J. Alexander's....dh's family has raved over it for the past 2 or 3 years...FIL/MIL always get giftcards to there for the dirty santa and everyone else fights over them. So this year, i fought over it and won. We went for our anniversary the other night and it was guhross
I spent a good part of the night in the bathroom floor vomiting.ugghhh
never again. at least we went on a giftcard and didn't spend a ton of our money on that crap
that's why i always stick w/ the foods and restaurants I know...i always end up disappointed if i venture out on something else.

Today I went to a place called Sweet Peppers Deli. It's a chain, but I had never heard of it until it opened here.

DH"s family has a Sweet Peppers Deli near their house. I have eaten there once....and I could have just made a sandwich at home and been a little happier!! It was just "blah". Nothing special whatsoever!

we went to the one by the Galleria in Bham. we split the Steak Maui and had spinach queso as an app....i don't know what it was..just didn't agree with me!

That's so weird how people have different experiences. Obviously it's not funny that you got sick - I know how you feel. We *just* had food poisoning about a week and a half ago!
FWIW, my dad orders the Steak Maui every time we go and loves it! lol!
Oh yes, I was just talking to someone yesterday about Olive Garden. I admit I've eaten there plenty of times in the past, but it's all freezer food! Red Lobster is one of those places I go when I'm just in the mood for it... and their Caesar salad is still one of my favorites!
