The article was very nice and the pics they included were good too. Congrats on being featured. And I really liked the part about the broom. What a beautifully symbolic thing to do for your wedding.
Sandy and I just attended her cousin's wedding and boy was that 4 hours of just wanting to get the hell out of there! Several members of her family are cool about her and they came up and spoke to us and were very nice. But a few whispered comments when we would be walking by were made. It's all so ridiculous to me how people can be such a&&es about the whole topic.
But on a positive note, this is the first big family thing that Sandy has ever taken her "girl" to and her previous relationship to me was for 8 years! So I am proud to be the one to help her overcome her fears about dealing with them. She knows I would address any cruelty in an articulate but definitive way and she really need not worry. It makes me sick what her parents have done to her and thankfully they did not attend. As for the rest of them...we made nice-nice and then hit the road to find some fun. Whew! What an experience!!
I've rambled on...anyway...congrats on the great article! You both looked beautiful!!
