Outlander Fun
If you were casting a new movie based on Outlander, who would you cast as Jamie? Claire? Captain Randall? Anyone else?
I'm trying to figure out who I picture as Jamie, and so far, I haven't come up with anyone good.

i know that James McAvoy looks nothing like Jamie, but I want him to so bad... so he is generally who I picture as Jamie, lol... the only other red head I can think of right now is Conan and he just won't do.
Claire = Anne Hathaway
Capt Randall = Ralph Fiennes (sp?)
O my gosh, the mental image of Conan as Jaime just made me laugh! He has the weirdest faces and expressions.

I LOVE that pic of Gabriel Aubry as Jamie. ?If he could get some good acting lessons under his belt, I would be a happy camper. ?; ) ?Paul Bettany might make a good Jamie too (if he bulked up a little).
Ralph Fiennes or Jeremy Irons as Jack Randall would rock. ?Chris Cooper would be excellently creepy too, but all of those guys seem maybe a little old?
What about Rachael MacAdams (from The Notebook) as Claire??
I've always pictured Rachel McAdams as Claire. I think she'd be perfect! And Gwyneth Paltrow as Geillis.
Jamie is a little trickier but to me he's some combination of Gerald Butler, and that guy who plays Boromir in Lord of the Rings:
I'd also love him to look a little like Ryan Gosling at the end of Notebook, but I don't think he's quite bulky/Scottish enough:
I picked up the first Outlander from the library a few minutes ago! Yay! I'm going to read the Time Traveler's Wife first though.
Oh, and James McAvoy rocks my world. I can't get enough of that tiny little man. DH understands RP, but he just doesn't get the James McAvoy obsession.

That Boromir dude is like how I pictured Dougal. ?The problem with GA as Jamie is that he really is too old. ?Jamie is supposed to be only 23, so I guess it really needs to be someone younger.?
