One of my industry friends said they were but probably only partially. TL would be JB for the scenes pre-freakish growth spurt and MC would be JB post-freakish growth spurt.

I don't think anything has been released to the newsfeeds.

It's so stupid when they change actors in the middle of a movie series. It's not hard for guys to put on weight. I'm team edward but I though Jacob was cast perfectly.

I read something that he's put on like, "x" amount of weight and he promised that he would put on an additional 10 lbs (of muscle, I assume) before filming starts, so hopefully thats somewhat good news.

If they do change him, I really hope it's not to MC.  He's an absolute terrible actor in the 2 things I have seen him in (Scorpion King 2, One Tree Hill).  I'd rather Jacob be 300 lbs blonde and blue-eyed than played by a craptastic actor.

Michael Copon.  Not bad looking, but if he's cast I hope he's gotten major acting lessons.  He's pretty much just a meathead.

Don't even get me started on this. I am very passionate about it. I don't even know why, but I am. MC is a complete douche. I really hope they don't change the actor mid-movie either. I will be beyond pissed. BEYOND!! Team Taylor all the way. MC can go sit on a tack.

Well his acting must have gotten better he's finished/in 6 films for 2009 already. I hope his acting got better because he is EXACTLY how I pictured Jacob to look, but if his acting sucks....well I still rather look at him than the Taylor because 1. he's a kid and 2. his acting sucks too. At least if micheal sucks he much better and older eye candy. )

All I am going to say is, I think it's more important to have an actor that can play the non-physical characteristics of Jacob. TL might not look as mature as the book but I think he will be much more capable of acting out Jacob than a guy who hasn't been 17 in 10 years. MC might look the part but I don't think he can play Jacob the way he should be played.

Yeah he's 15/16 but the way SM describes him in the book as he keeps going into wolfy mode is that he is maturing in height and looks. It's like part of the wolf thing, thats how I read it because they have to mature to a certain age like resemee(sp) because they stop aging until they decide to not play wolf anymore. So to think that when he reaches wolf stage....he wouldn't have a baby face of a 15 year old. She even says it in the books how much older the looks than his age. Actually they SM repeats it over and over and over how tall and how much older he looks and their age game thing. I just re-read NM...reading them all again ;o)

I'm Team Taylor too!  I hate when they switch actors in a series!  I think he'll do a good job, even if he isn't quite as big as he's supposed to be!

OKay, the more it's talked about, the more I want TL to stay (always did, but now I really think it's BS if they replace him). Who cares that SM once mentioned he looks older. We know he gets bigger, but for christ's sake, he's 16, he's supposed to be 16 in the movie... since the movies don't follow the books in exact detail, woudln't it make more sense to keep TL around?

It's kinda gonna confuse the masses seeing the 2nd movie who don't read the books that this 16 year old character all of a sudden looks 25.. it makes NO sense!

I think MC is a huge douche. His interview(s) that he's done about NM are crap. He's a self-important douche.
