Do you like NR as Rosalie?

im sure it's been discussed before.  i thought she was really beautiful in "Thirteen" - but for some reason i am not sure if i think she meshes as Rosalie in TL.  not that i want a swap out bc i like her...i just pictured Rosalie looking a lot different...i think NR was way prettier in Thirteen even though she was supposed to look like a goddess in TL.

I actually liked her in Twilight...although I think I may be in the minority here. I don't think she was as the book described but I still liked her.

Okay here's the thing. IMO, NR is GORGEOUS as a brunette. Seriously hawt, if I were I guy, or gay, I would tap that.

HOWEVER

She is disgusting as a blonde. She did the b!tch role well, it's not her acting that bugged me. It's the fact that she is supposed to be the most beautiful person on the planet (Bella's exact words from Eclipse) - and she does not look that part in Twilight AT ALL - that bugs me

Do I love her acting as Rosalie? YES. Do I think she looks the part of Rosalie? YES - until you get to her head. The blonde hair looks awful on her, but I wonder if they just did a craptastic job with her color.

I thought the hair looked horrible too. Not so much that blonde looks bad on her, but they just did a horrible job....come on..dark roots? they could have done much better!

I think she really doesn't have the coloring to be a blonde, or else they did a crappy crappy job of coloring her hair. I hope they fix it for the 2nd movie. SHe's gorgeous and she just didn't look so great in TL

Yeah, it's the roots. A good colorist wouldn't have left roots. Someone did a shitty job coloring her hair as far as covering it all, so I don't doubt they just did a bad job with the actual color, too.

They were going to have me play Rose but I couldn't peel myself off of Emmett long enough to get my lines straight.

not only are her roots dark, but it looks like her hair is extra light around her temples...I just think this pic is a perfect example of the fvcked up hair coloring that she recieved. Plus, KL is in there and we could all use a little extra hotness.

I like her as Rosalie as well. Like you, I see the girl from the movie Thirteen. It's weird for me to see her in blonde hair. I thought Alice had long hair as well, and it's short in the movie.

Alice's hair is 'pixie short' in the books. Some people even say it was too long in the movie, but I liked it

You're right, it's a terrible color job!  There shouldn't be those light splotches near the roots, not to mention to dark roots showing.  Her hair also looks a little dry and damaged.  They really needed a better hair person (or a fantastic wig).

Great example! I thought the same things. She can act and got the b!tch part down solid. however if they had given her a better blonde look...I think it would have worked for her. I imagined this character having super natural, shiny, flowing honey blonde hair that shines even on rainy days.

But because she isn't a natural blond, she?doesn't?haven't the right coloring to go even fake blond well....she is?naturally?super dark haired. Then mix in a bad color job and it just doens't work at ALL. Plus I think they need to cover up the mole...it just doesn't work for the character. ?

Also given the fact of when?Rosalie?was changed...she WOULD NOT HAVE ROOTS!!! Hello....1930's!!! They took much better care of themselves back then.

Ya they definitley just did a horrible job making her a blonde. And she has dark skin naturally, so the chalky makeup looks AWFUL on her.. like I said, she is gorgeous as a brunette, with her natural skin tone. But she looks awful in this movie.

Ditto this. She played the part perfectly, but she looks like shit. lol. Seriously...she just can't pull off blonde. (Sorry, NR).

She definitely wasn't what i pictured in my head when i read the books, but she did play the part perfectly! I really liked her as Rosalie!!

And i must agree....what is up with the roots?!

Movie-Alice's hair is much longer than SM's description (said it had all been cut off in the asylum and was growing back when she changed), but I think the movie hair also works, since SM's detailed description didn't actually make the books.

I actually thought her brows looked dyed, too. My hair is naturally medium blonde (obv darker than R's blonde, but still), and my eyebrows are fairly dark - much darker than NR's brows in the movie.?

Oh and I did read somewhere that they had to dye Nikki's eyebrows because they were too dark!

Don't you think that they could do extentions or a weave or something? I mean for heavens sakes, they do a better job with the America's Next Top Model girls. Dang it, call up Ken Paves and he will fix her all up.

As an actress, I think she did an amazing job. It's just the whole hair thing...plus her wardrobe wasn't very flattering..

I love love Alice's look. I think she was right on.
