My favorite thing about the movie
was seeing the story and the characters from a different perspective, third person rather than Bella's first-person POV.
One example: For the first time, I saw that Alice was a weirdo. I still love her, though.
?
Re: My favorite thing about the movie
I totally agree!
Just curious though, what made you think Alice was a weirdo? Was it the twirling in the cafeteria? I mean, I do that ALL the time!
I agree. I liked not seeing every single thing through Bella's thoughts.
I saw Alice as pretty weird in the books, but in a good OMG I want to be her friend kind of way. I felt the same about the movie.
Nope, it wasn't the twirling. It was how she talked to Bella before officially meeting her - and how she greeted her at the house. Then when she got the vision with the ballet studio. Weirdo!
But like I said. I love Alice. I just never noticed her quirkiness in the books bc Bella is so?enamored?with her that it didn't really register with me.

PAL/PGAL Welcome
God...seeing him come around the corner in his very first scene...from that moment on, I was hooked
I KNOW RIGHT!! :-P
Ahh gotcha! I thought the "will you be riding with us?" line outside the school buses was a little off since she and Bella had never met/talked before and that was a bit of a strange introduction.
OK, OK, OK. It was EdwardFuckingCullen.
But on a not-hot level, it was the perspective.
?
ohhh yeah! my heart literally jumped into my throat at that moment!
I stayed cool b/c DH was with me, but I swear I was probably blushing BRIGHT red when he came around the corner.
It was at this point (on my second time seeing the movie) that all the teeny boppers screamed. Truth be told, had I been alone and younger, I would have done the same.
That was one of my favorite parts too. It was really the only time that we were able to see that they were vampires and not just the weird rich kids from school. It was the only thing that happened in the movie that made you see how different they were.

Yes..and when he smiled when her heard Jessica talking about him lol so awesome..eventhough hes not hot to me...just that fact that it was Edward!
I love the way Edward smiles when he talks to Bella for the first time in biology.
And the "I just want to try one thing" part.
