I seriously need a new doc. Recs?

I live in Winter Park and work by UCF. Does anyone have a doctor that actually listens and tries to figure out what's wrong before loading you up with meds? I'm really sick of that type of doctor, and it's time to find a new one.

althought COMPLETELY out of your way, my doctor is in Apopka. Her name is Luz Alonso. She is amazing. She's an internalist. Listens, Spends about 30-45 minutes in a room just talking to you. I can't say enough good things about her. I know its on the opposite side of town- but no one else wrote back so I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in

I rarely post anymore, but I logged on today and saw your post.  I love my dcotor.  His name is Anthony Douglas and his practice is Maitland Internal Medicine.  He's on 17-92 in Maitland (not far at all from Winter Park - I work in WP and it takes me 5-10 minutes to get to his office).  He really listens an spends a good amount of time with you. I never feel rushed and feel that he treats me as a person and not an illness. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful.  If you're sick you can get a same day appointment.  He is the only doctor that I've ever been to that runs on time.  The longest I've waited is 5 minutes and that's when they squeezed me into the schedule.  They expect you to be on time as well.  Good luck!

I go to Ob-Gyn Care Group, the dr's are Dr. Wilson and Dr. Cascio and the NP is Diance Mancini. I am very happy with them. They have an office in Winter Park and Maitland. GL!!!

Dr. John Hirt in Winter Park is great. 407-678-5554. I work in health care so I am pretty particular..if only I still lived in Florida and could go to him...sigh. BUT, my dad goes to him and we are both pleased with the care he provides. Good luck.
