Locations for 1st bday party- Milwaukee

Hello ladies,

wondering if anyone had any ideas of a room, hall, place to rent for my DDs 1st bday party in April as our house is too tiny for 40+ people.
TIA

  • Are there going to be a lot of other kids there?  I've been to Pump it Up and to Monkey Joe's, both of which have big, inflatable bouncy things but both wouldn't be super fun for a one year old as they are geared towards older kids.

I think Stonefire Pizza is fun and although I've never been to the Big Backyard my husband takes our two-year-old there and they both really like it.  Stonefire would probably be the place with the most adult stuff to do, that's if you're inviting adults who enjoy video games.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then success with condoms! Who would ever have guessed.

  • We're looking at DeMarinis in Menomonee Falls for DD's 2nd B-day party. ?(Same as you--small house, winter b-day). ?We had our Rehearsal Dinner there, they have a private room, and good pizza. ?We don't think its really worth it to do it at a "kids place" right now--I've looked at some of the packages at places like Stonefire Pizza, Monkey Joes, Big Backyard, etc... and I just don't think that for the LOTS of money it'll be, it just won't be worth it for the many adults that will be there. ?We're planning on doing fun kids things (bringing DD's mini golf set, other kids games like Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, etc, and some art stuff. ?That way, it'll still be fun for the kids, but it'll also be decent for the adults too. ? I'm interested to hear any other ideas too, since we haven't set anything in stone yet (but need to soon since this little girl will be 2 at the end of the month!!--wow!!)?
  • I should add that besides my 2 kids, there will only be about 5 other kids there under the age of 10, so not a lot of kids, mainly adults. ?Thats why we didn't want to go the route of a "kids place". ?
